It takes about a minute. Android shows two security prompts because the app isn't from the Play Store yet — here's what they say and what to tap.
Download
Tap the button above on your Android phone. Chrome may warn that this type of file can harm your device — that's what it says about every app that doesn't come from the Play Store. Tap Download anyway.
Open the file
Tap the download when it finishes (or open Files → Downloads and tap the RoaringShifts .apk).
Allow installs from your browser
The first time, Android says your phone isn't allowed to install unknown apps from this source. Tap Settings, turn on "Allow from this source" for Chrome (or whichever browser you used), then go back. You can turn it off again after installing.
Install — and the Play Protect prompt
Tap Install. Google Play Protect may say it doesn't recognise the app, or offer to scan it. That's because it didn't come from the Play Store. Tap More details → Install anyway (scanning it first is fine too).
Open RoaringShifts and sign in
Use the same account as the website. When a newer version is out, come back here and install it over the top — your account and settings stay.
"App not installed"? An older test build signed differently is probably still on the phone. Uninstall RoaringShifts, then install this one.
On an iPhone? This file won't open there — iPhone gets the app through Apple.
