Audi Club Golden Gate: Winter High Performance Driving Event 2027

The 2027 Golden Gate Chapter Winter Driving Event is Audi Club's annual wintertime visit to Thunderhill Raceway Park in Willows, California.

Your registration includes classroom instruction, on-track lapping with an instructor who guides you through the 15 turns of Thunderhill Raceway, and car control exercises.

The classroom instruction covers everything from basic car control and dynamics to advanced techniques, and is designed as a two-way discussion.

On track, instructors give feedback on their observations of your driving and answer questions.

Novice drivers (A-Students and first timers) must go head-to-head with cones in car control exercises on the skid pad, which demonstrate weight transfer, emergency and threshold braking, and accident avoidance.

The multi-day event begins on Friday evening at 5:30pm and ends on Sunday afternoon at 5:00pm.

Jim Thompson and the Thunderhill Grill crew serve a light dinner on Friday, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and lunch on Sunday.

On Saturday night there is a banquet dinner and auction at the track, a chance to socialize with fellow club members.

The cost is $350.
