EGT Come and Try November AM

Run by the WA Sporting Car Club in partnership with Electrical Group Training, the Start Line – Come & Try sessions are an entry point into motorsport at Wanneroo Raceway.

The aim is to learn how cars behave on track, build confidence and find out whether motorsport is for you.

It is about vehicle control, feeling what grip is and getting a first taste of circuit driving, not lap records or trophies.

Each session runs for around three hours and combines infield vehicle handling exercises, covering braking, steering and balance, with laps on the main circuit.

An experienced WASCC instructor sits in the passenger seat and gives real-time feedback throughout.

Anyone curious about motorsport is welcome, including people new to track driving, people with a road car who want to drive it in a controlled environment, and those considering future sprint, regularity or racing competition.

No race car, prior experience or special preparation is needed beyond the basics.

Participants use their own vehicle, provided it is mechanically sound and safe to run on track.

EVs and Hybrids are not permitted to enter.

Bring a helmet with AS1698 compliance (hire helmets are available), a long-sleeve shirt (preferably cotton), long pants to the ankle and enclosed footwear.

The minimum age is 14 years.

The Come & Try Days operate under a Motorsport Australia Track Day License, which allows newcomers to get on track without holding a full competition licence.
