Mazda unveiled the first Miata in 1989.

Since then it has produced more than one million of these high-powered roadsters, one of the most popular sports cars ever built.

In this talk, President of the Trillium MX-5 Miata Club Gary Svoboda covers the development, history and evolution of four generations of the MX-5 Miata.

The talk takes place online over Zoom and is part of the Canadian Automotive Museum's Third Thursday lecture series.

It is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

A suggested donation of $10 goes toward covering the cost of hosting these virtual events.

Donors who make an annual contribution of over $25 will receive a charitable tax receipt.

About the speaker: Gary has been a Mazda owner since 1984, when he bought his first RX-7.

He currently owns two Miatas, a 2019 30th Anniversary Edition in "Racing Orange" and a 1999 10th Anniversary Edition in "Sapphire Blue Mica".

Like many of the more than 300 members of the GTA-based Trillium MX-5 Miata Club, he takes part in dozens of club drives and meetings every year around some of the best driving roads in Ontario and beyond.
