Wheels, Wings, and Warbirds is a free day at Texas Air Museum on Slaton Municipal Airport (F49) for anyone who loves machines.
Pilots fly in, neighbors drive in their cars and trucks, and riders bring their bikes.
The museum's warbirds sit out on the grass all day, and visitors can walk right up to them.
It is not an airshow.
Everything is parked, so you can take your time walking the grass and talking to the owners.
Public hours are 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, March 6, 2027.
Cars, trucks and motorcycles park in the show area on the grass, and airplanes sit on the grass.
Display is free.
For $20, a vehicle or bike can be placed in the judged row, with plaques for the winner and runner-up in each class.
Paid entries must be in the row by 11:00, and three judges walk the row from 12:00 until 1:00.
Pilots can talk on 123.0 and taxi to the north ramp to park for free.
EAA Chapter 19 runs a spot landing contest from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM from a table on the north ramp.
Texas Air Museum is lining up food trucks for the day.
There is no ticket for admission.
If there is a donation jar, giving is optional.
Show vehicles clear at 3:00 PM.
From Lubbock, take US-84 to Slaton and head for FM 400.
