In conjunction with the special exhibition “Japan’s Motorization Journey: 60 Years Since the Dawn of Mass Car Ownership,” the museum stages a driving demonstration of the cars that came to be known as “Boy Racer.” The demonstration runs on Saturday, 9 January 2027, in two sessions: 11:00–11:30 and 14:00–14:30.
It takes place at Parking Lot P1.
The cars shown are the Toyota MR2 Model AW11 (1984), the Toyota Starlet Turbo S Model EP71 (1989) and the Nissan March Super Turbo Model EK10 (1990).
The demonstration is subject to cancellation in the event of rain.
Vehicles may be changed without notice.
The museum is open 9:30–17:00, with no entry after 16:30, and is closed on Mondays (or Tuesdays when Monday falls on a public holiday) and during the year-end and New Year period.
