King of the Hammers 2026

Capo Valley 4 Wheelers listing for its 2026 King of the Hammers run on the Johnson Valley trail, from Old Woman Springs Road to Boone Road.

The event runs from Friday, January 22, 2027 at 8am to Sunday, February 7, 2027 at 12pm.

The page says the club plans to be there for three days, to be scheduled later.

The meeting point is the Rendezvous at the Trailhead/Campsite.

Participants join through the club's event page, choosing a meet-at option, passenger count and available seats.

The Liability Release Waiver must be printed, signed and handed to the Trail Boss at the start of the run.

The trail rating is Difficulty Level 1: a graded road, open to any 4x4 vehicle or higher-clearance 2x4 with no other modifications.

The page lists run requirements of a 33+ sized tire and a 4HI transfer case.

Always-required items are a HAM radio on 146.550 MHz, a full-sized spare tire, seat belts, a first aid kit, a fire extinguisher, a battery tiedown, working brakes, tow straps and tow points.

Recommended camping supplies are listed, and the additional notes say to bring plenty of firewood.
